New Orleans Chamber Orchestra: Across the Americas
Conductor Maxim Samarov and the New Orleans Chamber Orchestra close the summer 2017 season with music from Across the Americas. Guitarist Javier Olondo performs Cuban composer Leo Brouwers Concerto Elegiaco. The orchestra features music from New Orleans composers with Barbara Jazwinskis Sequenze Concertanti and the world premiere of Jerry Siegs Fantasy on Wondrous Love with hornist Mollie Pate. Audience favorites including Barbers Adagio and Villa-Lobos Aria round out the program.
