Octavia Morgan
Octavia is the Co-Director of Yoga Shala in Boulder, CO. She has been a devoted student of lyengar Yoga since 1995 and a full time teacher since 2003. She has in-depth experience using yoga to address her neck pain and lower back injuries. Octavia has a special interest in working with students to address injuries and health conditions. A Boulder native, she holds an Iyengar teaching certification at the Junior Intermediate III level. Octavia is deeply grateful to Senior Iyengar Teachers Patricia Walden and Manouso Manos, who guide, challenge, and inspire her. She was an assistant to Manouso from 2004 to 2010. She travels regularly to Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family, and has attended numerous conferences, workshops, and intensives with Senior lyengar Teachers. She has twice completed Stephanie Quirks three-year course on Asana and Therapeutics.
Tamarie Spielman
Tamarie is a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher at the Junior Intermediate III Level, and the Co-Director of Yoga Shala in Boulder, CO. She is a dedicated student of Senior Teachers Manouso Manos, who she assisted for 5 years, and Patricia Walden. She travels regularly to Pune, India for extended periods of study with the Iyengar family. In addition to yoga, Tamarie maintains a daily meditation practice. Her teaching reflects compassion, humor, and her commitment to developing awareness and applying practice in daily life.
