Beginning Hand-Weave Chair Caning class at Landis Valley
Chair caning is the process of weaving strands of the inner bark of the rattan vine through holes around the inside perimeter of a chair seat to create a sturdy, comfortable, and beautiful seat. In this class, you will learn how to weave a hand-cane (6-step) pattern from Bill Brick, charter member of the Seatweaver's Guild and owner/proprietor of B-Reseated Chair Weaving in Hanover, PA.
Class is part of Landis Valley's 2017 Summer Institute. Class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Please note that prices include a catered breakfast and lunch in the Yellow Barn each day for Institute participants. If you choose to forgo the meals, please choose the 'no meals option' pricing.
