If you love roller derby, you know that magic happens when roller derby skaters get together. Well, picture this: a few thousand players, officials, productioneers, vendors, fans and a handful of juniors from all over the world, all gathering in Las Vegas to share some stories, raise some hell and get their skate on. RollerCon '13 is the ninth annual "meeting of the wheels" in Las Vegas, and it really, really just gets better every single year.
New to roller derby? Seasoned and scarred veteran? Every skill level is welcome, and we've planned tons of events for everyone to enjoy!
You have other questions. This might not be the best place to look for answers. Check out our MASSIVE website full of answers at http://rollercon.com!
TICKET TYPES:
MVP Pass. MVP passes are our All Access pass. With insurance & skill minimums, MVPs get entry into all on and off-skates events, including training camp, open skate rink, bouts, Challenges, open scrimmages & social events. There were 2000 available. But here's the good news: whenever someone cancels a pass and BPT refunds it, that pass becomes available. If you want one of those, you could get lucky and check the ticket page the day their cancellation gets processed. Check here by scrolling down and looking at the ticket quantity available. DO NOT email us about it. There's no way for us to know when BPT will process the cancellation.
Skater Pass. With insurance & skill minimums, allows participation in open skates, scrimmages, challenges, bouts, all the non-skating events, including off-skates athletic training. Does NOT include entry into the on-skates training camp.
Junior Skater Pass. Are you getting a pass for a JUNIOR skater ages 13-17? They have a special Junior Skater pass with a hideously gigantic pile of insurance paperwork and bureaucracy to go with it. Details: http://rollercon.com/about/who-goes-to-rc/junior-skaters/
Spectator Pass. If you don't skate, this is the pass for you. This gets you view access to most on-skates events, excluding on skates training, but including bouts, scrimmages, challenges, and it gets you entry to all the off-skates seminars and social events. These passes are unlikely to sell out.
Staff Passes. Staff passes come in MVP and Spec flavors, and give you the same access, but a LOT cheaper. These passes are only visible with special SECRET DECODER codes you could have (or did) earn by volunteering LAST year. Staff passes cost less than the cheapest pass that non-volunteers can buy. This pass doesn't sell out.
Psst: If you volunteered 10 hours or more (and, ahem, remembered to clock in), we have ALREADY emailed you. If you didn't get an email, let us know HERE: http://rollercon.com/help-wanted/staff-info/
Want to get the cheap ass staff code next year? Easy! http://rollercon.com/help-wanted/
********** ROLLERCON PASS POLICIES These policies apply to everyone, not just everyone but you. Thanks for understanding!
**Early Bird Prices started at $79 (spec)- $119 (MVP) in NOVEMBER. Pass prices go up each month after. Check the ticket page to see the price now. **Domestic passes will be mailed out in JUNE. International passes will be available for pick up at the event (we call that Will Call).
ABOUT SOLD OUT MVP PASSES Once they are sold out, they are sold out for EVERYONE. Again, not just everyone but you. Please don't email Pam or Ivanna asking them to make an exception, or let you use someone else's pass. We give everyone as much warning as we can that it will sell out every year and then it does, every year, and somehow people are still surprised. If you do email us, we're just going to sympathize, tell you the same thing, and encourage you to check out the skating pass, instead.
ABOUT YOUR PASSES: Your pass must have your REAL NAME and it must match your Government-Issued ID. If it doesn't, you will have to get a reprinted pass, which costs $35 and takes time to happen (especially if you're checking in Tuesday or Wednesday, when the lines tend to be longer). That is the policy no matter how mad you get at our volunteers about it.
SHIPPING / WILL CALL: Passes will be mailed out to US attendees by Brown Paper Tickets IN JUNE. Registration Packets will be available at the RollerCon Registration area. International orders will be available for pick-up at the WILL CALL desk at RollerCon.
TRANSFERS: Tickets are non-transferable, which means you may not give your ticket to someone else. You will not be able to buy someone else's pass, either. Every pass name must match holder's government-issued ID and the insurance info given to us at purchase. Sorry, but we can make no exceptions to this rule.
UPGRADES: Short answer: NO. You bought a Skater Pass and then suddenly an MVP is available. First off, if you want an MVP pass and you see one available, we recommend you buy it IMMEDIATELY, because they go FAST. Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade your old Skater pass. You can, however, buy the MVP then cancel the Skater pass (by using the link below). Skater Passes are not upgradeable. Sorry.
DEFERRALS Deferrals ended on July 12th. Sorry.
REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS New in 2013! Cancellations ended on July 12th. Sorry.
