The Drop Spindle and the Spinning Wheel - class at Landis Valley
We'll go back to the basics of spinning to learn how the various tools used in this art form function and how you can improve your technique. You'll identify the parts of the given tools to better understand the purpose of each, as well as discuss the fiber aspect of wool. Then, you'll proceed with the timing of draw and twist coordination to create a beautiful project. Optional drop spindle kit can be purchased from instructor at $35 per kit.
Class is part of Landis Valley's 2017 Summer Institute. Class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Please note that prices include a catered breakfast and lunch in the Yellow Barn each day for Institute participants. If you choose to forgo the meals, please choose the 'no meals option' pricing.
