Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble presents Stories of Resistance
This Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble performance will benefit East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering sanctuary, solidarity, support, community organizing assistance, advocacy, and legal services to those escaping war, terror, political persecution, intolerance, exploitation, and other expressions of violence.
In this special benefit performance, audience members are invited to share personal stories of acts of resistance.
Bring your story of: * A creative act of disobedience * A clever act of subversion * A bold act of courage
The actors and musicians of the Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble will play back your stories on the spot, incorporating music, movement, ritual and spoken improvisation. At the heart of our work is a profound respect for the power of personal story to build bridges between people and cultures.
