Triangle Theatre presents "Meet George Orwell"
Most of us know George Orwell, the novelist and essayist, for his lucid prose style, through Animal Farm and 1984. We invite you to meet him at The Church of the Holy Trinity on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 7:00 PM.
Meet George Orwell is largely in his own words, it takes place on the island of Jura, in Scotland, where at the close of his life he went to escape the world and write 1984. Excerpts from 1984 and Animal Farm are included.
The performance is a benefit for The Emergency Relief Fund of The Episcopal Actors Guild and costs $25.00. A reception where you can meet the actor and the director follows.
The mission of the Episcopal Actors' Guild is to provide emergency aid and support to professional performers of all faiths who are undergoing financial crisis. The guild is dedicated to helping emerging artists advance their careers through scholarships, awards, and performance opportunities.
