Latin American Baroque, Brooklyn Performance
Repast Baroque Ensemble winds up its season with a musical journey to Latin America. Joined by American-Uruguayan soprano Nell Snaidas, baroque guitarist Charles Weaver, and violinist Theresa Salomon, Repast explores the music of 17th and 18th Century Latin America, along with some Spanish influences, that was a fabulous converging of old and new world cultures. This program will include new discoveries for many listeners, with Baroque music from Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru, Spain, and a fabulous solo harpsichord Fandango by Scarlatti.
