Drinkers and Thinkers - The Scottish Enlightenment at AMC @ UCC

Sangstream is an Edinburgh-based folk choir led by Corrina Hewat, the well known composer, harper and singer. Sangstream has been singing Scots traditional and contemporary songs in harmony for 20 years. "Drinkers and Thinkers -The Scottish Enlightenment " is a concert of music and song from the alehouses, clubs and salons of the Scottish Enlightenment. Many of the songs were written by names still famous today, Tannahill, Burns, Lady Nairne and others. Exploring their range of material from the humorous to the poignant, Sangstream will entertain and "enlighten" with the music of the period.
