Join us as long time Festival faculty member William Wolfram returns to the Packard stage to bring us Bach's Goldberg Variations, BWV 988.
One of the few of his works published during his lifetime, Bach's Goldberg Variations were named after Johann Gottlieb Goldberg, who may have been the first to perform the work. Often regarded as the most serious and ambitious composition ever written for harpsichord (performed today on piano), the work consists of an aria and a set of 30 variations.
Seats on the first level are reserved; those in the balcony are open seating.
