The Gas Giants Live at the Old Barn, Kelston Roundhill
The Gas Giants, an occasional side project of local composers and multi-instrumentalists Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) and Ross Hughes (Portishead), and drummer Tony Orrell (The Pushy Doctors), play their first UK date in two years at the Old Barn, Kelston Roundhill on Saturday the 20th May
The performance had been scheduled for September last year, but had to be postponed at short notice because of illness.
Busy, individual writing, recording and touring schedules mean that finding time to perform as The Gas Giants is a logistical challenge. But the band has endured since 1990, pre-dates Will's other and better known group by seven years and always, eventually, returns to perform live.
The band is supported by violinist Agathe Max.
The gig will be recorded for the fourth release on local independent label, Kelston Records.
