GO Figure! Summer 2017 Portrait Drawing Sessions
Drawing directly from the human figure is a wonderful way to hone your technical skills while exploring variations in lighting, poses, and settings. Join inspired artists, representing a wide range of ages, skills and abilities for this Portrait Session with a clothed model.
This six-week run of Portrait Sessions meets in the gallery at BIMA on Wednesday afternoons, July 12, 19, 26 and August 2, 9 and 16 from 2-4:30pm. Please note that this is not an instructed course, but a self-directed, facilitated session. Participants will work at their own pace from clothed models; all skill levels welcome.
Participants must provide their own drawing paper; some drawing media suitable for working in the galleries will be provided by BIMA. The sessions take place while the museum is open to the public and visitors are in the galleries.
Single, drop-in sessions are $15 each; a discounted 6-week series pass is $75. Cost includes the use of drawing materials and model and facilitator fees.
