A Day in Historic New Castle
William Penn landed in New Castle on his first trip to his colonies in 1681. Visit the Old Courthouse, Delaware's first capitol, built in 1732, the George Reed II House (a great Federal mansion with a speakeasy in the basement!), and historic churches. Lunch (provided) is in the historic armory.
Motorcoach boards at Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum at 8:45 a.m. Breakfast and lunch are included. Breakfast is served at Landis Valley's Yellow Barn starting at 8 a.m. Trips include walking so proper footwear is essential.
