Pacific Voices One Voice
PLEASE JOIN US !
"One Voice" celebrates the winter season and the connection we all share with one another. The popular Pacific Voices choir presents their 2012 Winter Concert "One Voice" on Saturday, December 15, 8PM at Resurrection Church, 7600 Soquel Drive in Aptos. Under the leadership of conductor Sean Boulware, this musical offering celebrates the power of music to connect us to our own souls and those of all others on the planet. Performing in a range of styles--from the haunting message of peace and presence of Frank Ticheli's Earth Song to Franz Biebl's exquisite Ave Maria to Stepan Hatfield's rousing Cuban folk song Son de Camaguey --this community choir of more than sixty singers introduces audiences to beautiful songs from around the world. Sean Boulware is the new conductor of Pacific Voices and is joined by accompanist David Long, as well as soloists, small ensembles and instrumentalists from within the choir. Mr. Boulware is a sought-after conductor, adjudicator, clinician and vocalist throughout the United States and Europe. He has prepared choirs to sing with Josh Groban, Michael McDonald, and Tommy Simms and conducted choirs at the 2012 Summer Games in London. Sean appears regularly at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. "One Voice" is a gift of song from Pacific Voices to the community. Whether you are a returning fan or a newcomer curious to hear a broad repertoire of music from around the world, this concert offers an abundance of vocal traditions and the richness of sharing music.
