Flash Band Project Fall Dance Party
For one night, ten Flash Bands - a band that exists for one night only . will take over Adams Morgan for an epic live-band dance party to be remembered. After being introduced through a meet-and-greet jam session, a group of forty musicians have one month to form and practice as one-time Flash Bands. Each band will be given one fifteen minute set and must play at least one original song.
For this Flash Band Project, the bands are playing all dance music - in any form they want to interpret it. From hip-hop and pop to soul, reggae or zydeco, we'll have it all - with a new band every fifteen minutes.
The Flash Band Project was created with the goal of bringing musicians together and inspiring them to create a great show for their audience. For the musicians, the Flash Band Project is an excuse to take chances, play with new musicians, or experiment with new styles. For the audience it's a chance to see a diverse group of local musicians playing their best fifteen minutes each.
