the DEBONAIRES are a dynamic group of musicians who pay tribute to the classic sounds of Jamaican Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae through their unique renditions of these early styles. Established in 1995 in Riverside, Ca. The Debonaires, known for their exciting live performances, have taken several national tours, as well as multiple tours throughout the west coast and southwest, and have played The Victoria Ska Fest in Vancouver, BC, Canada in '04 and '07. They have had the honor of sharing the stage with many of the very Jamaican legends whose music inspired them to form, as well as contemporary favorites including The Skatalites, Desmond Dekker, Laurel Aitken, Justin Hinds, Phyllis Dillon, The Specials, Easy Star All Stars, Fishbone, Hepcat, The Slackers, The Aggrolites, The Toasters, and Voodoo Glow Skulls, just to name a few. The Debonaires are currently playing shows throughout Southern California, and recording their 4th album, titled "Movin'" featuring guests Angelo Moore from Fishbone and Chris Murray. Slated to release in Fall 2011, this is a highly anticipated album for the Ska world, and one not to be missed!
2000 TONS OF TNT: From the musical underground of San Diego, CA comes 2000 Tons of TNT. Borrowing its name from an early reggae staple by the G.G. All-Stars, the group interprets the rhythms of late 60's and early 70's Jamaica and Britain through a North American lens. Their raw take on vintage reggae is fused with garage, psychedelic rock, and soul on their debut album Reggae Mysteria, self-released in July 2012. The band is currently working on material for their second release and will be returning to the studio this fall.
the NIGHT DOCTORS: The Night Doctors deliver the groove of classic Jamaican reggae, ska, and rocksteady riddims. Heavily influenced by masters like Jackie Mittoo, The Upsetters, Carlton & the Shoes, Ernest Ranglin & Don Drummond to name a few. The Docs are rockin' San Diego County. Always keepin' the party goin' with classics and originals to keep audiences movin' & groovin. Performing classic rocksteady tunes w/ a mix of soul. Can you dig it?
LOW LIFE SOUND SYSTEM: GONZO and crew coming down to throw down all the boss jams on wax.
