School is Out, STEM is IN!
STEMaction offers Robotics Workshops on select days when schools are not in session. Our next Workshop is Wednesday, April 12, 2017. This registration page is for the morning session from 9am - 12pm.

Build and Program robotic LEGO models with the WeDo system, featuring working motors and sensors. WeDo Robot Engineering will dive into an exciting hands on experience learning about robotics design, sensing, and programming. Using drag and drop software, you will gain experience with programming logic and make your creations move and react to the environment. You will think like an engineer as you build a crane, car, robot alligator, or sensing conveyor belt etc. What cant you do with imagination, hard work, and design!
Ages: 7 to 14 years old Schedule: 9:00am Check in 9:15 - 10:15: Building WeDo models 10:15 - 10:30: Snack break - Please bring a drink and a snack 10:30 - 11:30: Finish building models 11:30 - 11:50: Showtime! - Parents are welcome to attend and see the results. 11:50 - 12:00: Clean up and goodbye
Who Are We? STEMaction delivers exciting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities to K-12 students and builds a local community of support for the programs and participants. STEMaction is the official Affiliate Partner for the Maryland FIRST Tech Challenge and Maryland FIRST LEGO League Junior program (www.firstinmaryland.org). The workshop will be mentored by FTC team 8221, Cubix3. The participants will get to see and hear about our team and robot!
Note: Adults running STEMaction workshops are screened through the FIRST Youth Protection Program.
