Oysters & Pearls
Join the Survive and Thrive Advocacy Center for an oyster-themed cooking class for up to 20 guests at the KitchenAble Cottage at Lake Ella on Saturday, May 13 at 6:00pm.
You will enjoy a 4-course oyster tasting with local oysters from Oyster Mom who will be joining us for our meal to share about oyster farming in the area. Each course will be served with paired wines provided by Relish.
Jewelry will be available for sale at the event by both Quincie Hamby and Robin Hassler Thompson. A portion of jewelry sales will be donated to benefit human trafficking survivors.
MENU 1st Course: Smoked Oyster Pate Enjoy the rich smoky flavor of Oyster Bay oysters combined with fresh herbs and Boursin, served as an appetizer on French bread toasts
2nd Course: Oysters on the half-shell with KitchenAbles signature spicy cocktail sauce. Enjoy the fresh flavor of the sea and learn to shuck your own oysters for this fresh oyster course.
3rd Course: Oyster Bisque This creamy and smooth soup combines the sweet and decadent flavor of oysters with poached in a rich broth with shallots, cream, and Sherry.
4th Course: Panko Fried Oyster Salad with Sriracha-RĂ©moulade dressing
Followed by dark chocolate mendicants and coffee.
