Songs for Peace and Justice - Community Sing Along
ON LINE TICKET SALES HAVE ENDED. Tickets will be on sale at the door starting at 5 PM. See you there!
The first annual Oak Park River Forest Community Sing Along is set to take place on Sunday, April 30 at Doc Ryan's, 7432 W. Madison in Forest Park. Music begins at 6 PM.
Featured musicians are Old Town School of Folk Music's Mark Dvorak with the Power of Song Singers and Jason McInnes with youth ensemble the Young Stracke All Stars.
The suggested donation range at the door is $10-$20 per person or $25 per family of 4. Because of heightened interest and limited space we are now releasing 100 pre-sale concert tickets at $15/each this will guarantee admission. Families can pay at the door, we are unable to set up a field to have families pay online.
UPDATE: Purchasing tickets guarantees admission to the venue but not a seat. We will do our best to accommodate everyone who has a need. The venue is on the second floor and we regret that there is no elevator.
Proceeds will support the Oak Park River Forest Community Foundation's Songs For Peace and Justice Fund that provides free concerts to neighbors utilizing services at such agencies as the OPRF Food Pantry, PADS and Oak Park Senior Services. Our Community Sing Along also benefits The Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry and Housing Forward.
