826michigan Presents: Storymakers Dinner 2017
You are cordially invited to join 826michigan and special guest Peter Ho Davies for a delicious evening in the brand new Zingerman's Greyline in downtown Ann Arbor.
STORYMAKERS DINNER is a celebration that honors important writers and their stories, from nationally known novelists to emerging young authors in our community. Each spring, 826michigan partners with Zingermans Community of Businesses to bring together a noted person of letters and more than one hundred friends committed to 826michigansand our students'success. We promise to provide outstanding food and drink alongside extraordinary stories.
This June 7, acclaimed author and esteemed University of Michigan faculty, Peter Ho Davies will share his powerful tales with us.
Peter Ho Davies is the author of two novels, The Fortunes (winner of the Anisfield-Wolf Award) and The Welsh Girl (long-listed for the Man Booker Prize), and two short story collections, The Ugliest House in the World (winner of the John Llewelyn Rhys Prize) and Equal Love (A New York Times Notable Book). His work has appeared in Harpers, The Atlantic, The Paris Review, The Guardian and Washington Post among others, and has been widely anthologized, including selections for Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards and Best American Short Stories.
Tickets are available at two levels:
$250 (VIP reception and dinner); starting at 6pm
$125 (dinner); starting at 7pm
VIP tickets include a pre-event reception with Peter Ho Davies and Two James Spirits cocktails.
