Don Campbell Band celebrates singer/songwriters of the 70's
Don Campbell himself is a consummate musician who was dubbed Maine's best singer-songwriter. He won the Grand Prize at the Grand Ole' Opry in Nashville for his original music. But on Sat., April 29 at The Castle on Charles, Campbell and his acclaimed full band will perform songs by James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison and others that you know and love ...
The concert at The Castle on Charles will be an intimate concert with cabaret seating surrounding the stage, with table service before the show and during intermission from The Tavern (small menu to include Mediterranean & Cheese Boards, Beef Stew, Sandwiches).
Don Campbell is a singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who is co-based in Portland, Maine and Nashville, Tennessee. Campbell has released twelve CDs and touring with his band nationally, he averages between 150 and 200 performances per year. Campbell has opened for Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Randy Travis, Keith Urban, Merle Haggard, George Jones, America, Three Dog Night, Shawn Colvin and Jonathan Edwards among others. A concert at the gorgeous and historic Castle on Charles is an olde-world experience - visually, and acoustically. An old Episcopal church, The Castle was renovated and recently opened for event rentals as well as unique spring & fall entertainment. Parking is primarily at the nearby Rochester Public Library, just 400 feet away at 65 North Main Street. To see upcoming events at The Castle, Visit www.CastleNH.com
