PRI's The World and Across Women's Lives Present: Taking ISIS to Court, In Conversation with Nadia Murad
Join us for an intimate conversation with Yazidi human rights activist Nadia Murad. An ISIS survivor, Nobel Peace Prize nominee and UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking, Murad is making international headlines by bringing ISIS to court. PRIs Across Womens Lives correspondent Jasmine Garsd will interview Murad live at the Brooklyn Public Library about her life as a trafficking survivor and international representative of the Yazidi women's struggle. They will discuss Nadias personal experiences, her advocacy for ethno-religious minorities in Iraq and Syria, and the challenges and goals of her fight to bring the Yazidi cause to justice.
A Q&A will follow.
