Live Roller Derby: British Champs Double Header
Mark your calendars: Bath Roller Derby Girls are proud to announce their leg of British Champs: Tier 3 Regional South!
We've got two amazing bouts of fast and furious roller derby lined up for your viewing pleasure:
+ Bath Spartans vs. Riot City Ravens
+ North Devon Roller Derby vs. Dorset Roller Girls
Both of these fantastic match ups should see some epic action on track, with everything to play for as each team battles it out for precious Champs points!
*** WHERE ***
After losing our only home bouting venue to redevelopment last year, we're hopping down the road to Bristol, where we've got a cracking hall lined up at UWE Centre for Sport. Bags of space, derby mall, viewing gallery for bird's eye view of the action as well as track side seating - and a bar!
Our afterparty will be held at the legendary Roll For The Soul in central Bristol - join us for great food and a few well-earned pints of West Country cider. Family friendly, plenty of car parking nearby.
*** FIRST BOUT ***
In our opening bout, Bath Spartans will come up against Newport's formidable Riot City Ravens. The Spartans have seen some big changes to their line up in the last 6 months and are ready to show a home crowd just how hard they've been working. Riot City take the track fresh from a Champs win against North Devon, and will doubtless be looking to continue this unbeaten streak.
(First Whistle 2pm.)
*** SECOND BOUT ***
In our second bout of the day, North Devon Roller Derby will clash with Dorset Roller Girls. Flatrack Stats suggest that Dorset might have the edge on paper, but underestimate those North Devon ladies at your peril... After a very narrow initial Champs defeat, they'll be skating out with something to prove. This promises to be a very hard fought match up.

In addition to these two family friendly bouts, we'll also have stalls for you to browse, a brilliant raffle, tempting charity cake stall and a kids' corner with lots of roller derby themed activities to keep your little ones entertained.
