Strengthening Families Curriculum Update
You are invited to join WSU Extension Certified Strengthening Families Program for Parents and Youth 10-14 trainers and facilitators for an update on the award-winning curriculum. Iowa State University, the developers of this evidence based program, updated the curriculum in late 2015. WSU trainers were recertified in 2016 and are excited to share some of the changes and enhancements to the program.
An evening session will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served from 5:30 6 p.m. The program will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. The location will be WSU Skagit County Extension, 11768 Westar Lane, Suite A, Burlington, WA 98233.
Goals for the evening:
- To network with local facilitators
- To review and experience some of the key changes in the updated manual
- To review what really counts
- To understand the importance of fidelity and how to track it in your local programs
- To learn about Iowa State Universitys recommendations for re-training/recertification
