Join us for an evening of celebration and inspiration! Seattle AWIS is honored to recognize three outstanding women who have advanced their fields of scientific research, education and outreach. They are leaders and innovators whose work has made an impact. They are mentors and inspiring role models for students and other professionals.
We will be honoring Dr. Emily Fox for Scientific Advancement in STEM, Dr. Alyssa Taylor for Excellence in Science Education, and Claudia Ludwig, MEd for Excellence in Science Outreach. Dr. Fox and Dr. Taylor are Professors at the University of Washington in Computer Science & Engineering and Statistics, and Bioengineering, respectively. Ms. Ludwig is a Director at the Institute for Systems Biology.
At this event we will be presenting the chapter's 2017 undergraduate scholarship recipients.
This event also serves as a fundraiser for our undergraduate Scholarship Program. We will be accepting donations, both online and at the event.
Photographs will be taken at this event for use on our Seattle AWIS website and in other Seattle AWIS publications and media material. By attending our event, you are consenting to being photographed by Seattle AWIS and having your your image and likeness used for Seattle AWIS-related purposes.

All ticket sales/registration ends at noon on Friday, June 2, 2017, or earlier if the seating maximum is reached before then.
PARKING:
Very limited street parking is available. Please consider carpooling, taxi/Ube or using buses that run on Eastlake Ave.

If you have received a complimentary ticket code, select the 'complimentary' ticket option and input your code.

We encourage you to donate generously to the AWIS Scholarship Fund. Undergraduate women studying science, technology, engineering or math at a Washington college or university are selected based on outstanding letters of recommendation, financial need, community service and a strong interest in pursuing a career in STEM.
