Snap on 2&4 w/ Sandra Dudley
The next Snap on 2&4 performance at the Nashville Jazz Workshop is Friday, Nov. 9 and will feature the return to the jazz cave of the brilliant vocalist Sandra Dudley.
Sandra has been critically acclaimed both as a solo performer and as the featured vocalist in significant big bands, including the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Tennessee Jazz Orchestra, and the Jazz Orchestra of the Delta. She has also been the featured singer with both the Nashville and Memphis symphonies. Sandra is fresh off an incredible sold-out performance as a member of the vocal performance group 3rd Coast Vocals, and we're thrilled to have her back to headline a solo show.
A skilled educator, Sandra teaches at Belmont University as well as advanced vocal styles and ensembles here at NJW. She has wowed audiences the past 2 years at our Jazz on the Move series with her amazing presentation and interpretations of the music of Ella Fitzgerald (JOTM '10) and Sarah Vaughan (JOTM '11).
Sandra will be joined by Don Aliquo (saxophone), Bruce Dudley (piano), Jonathan Wires (bass) and Josh Hunt (drums).
The group will perform two sets, beginning at 8pm, and admission is $20 for adults / $10 Students with ID.
Advance purchase is highly recommended. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 29 at 10 am, online or by phone at 800-838-3006 (24/7) or at the Workshop, 615-242-5299. A small convenience charge is added to online or 800-number purchases.
Seating is reserved. Management will assign best available seating. If you have particular seating preferences we'll do our best to accommodate. Seating requests can be made online or by phone. (You can indicate a preference in the "Questionnaire" box when checking out.) Seating is a combination of 4-person tables and bar stools. SEE BELOW FOR A VENUE MAP. Parties of less than four may be seated at tables with other patrons.
Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones.
