Case for Support: Canadian Mental Health Association, Kamloops Branch
CMHA Kamloops Branch has been providing service to people living with mental illness and addictions for 25 years in Kamloops and region. Recovery from mental illness is often a complex and lifelong journey that requires different supports along an individuals journey.
Utilizing music in recovery processes is an evidence based way to support individuals in their personal work from illness to wellness, and through the support of Shine the Light, CMHA Kamloops will be able to establish a therapeutic music program for our clients.
Our goal is to be able to provide free therapeutic music programming to individuals that receive service through CMHA Kamloops. Music is accessible to everyone, no matter their level of knowledge or experience, and will enhance each individuals recovery path and promote wellness and health.
