Joline Baylis Album Release with The Crackling and Vi An Diep
Canadian indie folk-rock artist Joline Baylis brings her eloquent songwriting and superb band to the Wise Hall, to celebrate the release of her debut album, "Break Me Down."
Joline's original material is fresh, haunting, and deeply personal. With the release of "Break Me Down," Joline takes her soulfully written songs to new depths and new heights, by welcoming:
Kenton Loewen (Dan Mangan and Blacksmith, Haram, Marin Patenaude) Wynston Minckler (Emily Millard, Aerialists) Paul Pigat (Cousin Harley, Neko Case)
The album was recorded at the Afterlife Studio (formerly the iconic Mushroom Studios), and produced by Kenton Loewen and Joline Baylis.
The night will also feature performances by The Crackling and Vi An Diep.
The Crackling https://www.fileundermusic.com/artist/the-crackling/
The Crackling embrace both calm and storm in Kenton Loewen's dark, warm song writing. Intimate and cutting. Romantic and bleak.
"Loewen is a timeless and spellbinding balladeer and one of Canada's most underrated talents." Absolutepunk.net
Vi An Diep https://vian.bandcamp.com/
Vi An is spellbinding as she shares the Art of spontaneous compositions and intuitive improvisations on various Asian long zithers. Her music is like a pulsing heart gathers all who listen into its rhythm.
