Nature Sketchbooks with Pam Luer
Everwood is excited for our next Artist Workshop Nature Sketchbooks with Pam Luer on Sunday, September 10th. It will be a fun way to explore your artistic side while enjoying the beauty of the land.
Instructor Pam Luer has been a working artist for nearly 20 years. Her passion for teaching and spending time outdoors took hold when she taught a six-week workshop for the Westwood Hill Nature Center in St. Louis Park, MN. And now she frequently teaches across the country at nature centers, resorts, vineyards, and arboretums.
Workshop participants (class size will not exceed 15) will learn different ways to approach subject matter. By altering points of view, perspective, and composition, Pam helps her students see things differently. She will offer simple lessons, prompts and demos so participants can capture what they see with only a small sketchbook and a handful of basic drawing tools. Pam will share samples, conduct a few demos and then get the group started with drawing warm-ups. Afterwards, participants will head outdoors in search of subjects.
The price for the Workshop is $95 a person (which includes lunch and beverages). Participants may bring their own supplies from a list provided by Pam or purchase a kit prepared by Pam for an additional $55 that includes: 1) a sketchbook; 2) pencil set of 6; 3) watercolor pencil set of 12; and 4) aqua brush set of 3.
Participants should bring:
* Comfortable work clothes based on the weather
* Comfortable shoes for foraging
