Monthly Zine Workshops ft. Eva Avenue
Daddy Kool Records and KEEP ST. PETE LIT are coming together to showcase zines in monthly workshops. On the second Wednesday of every month we will have a new speaker to talk about different aspects of zines. From creating, producing to the history behind zines we hope to inspire people to create their own!
April's Workshop: In this collage-based class, you will learn the meaning of how to keep it Noodle, how to make your content relevant, and how to maximize your resources to make your own publication take off from inception.
About the Instructor: Eva Avenue published the first issue of the Nightly Noodle Monthly on Oct 4, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM after having spent the previous two months in a Barcelona hospital recovering from a near-fatal viper bite from on top of a mountain. Nightly Noodle Monthly is in itself a work of art, the rock and roll of printed literature, documenting contemporary art history and the people of today as it all unfolds in the context of 21st century America. Four months into publishing the Noodle monthly, it was rated second in Albuquerques the Weekly Alibi for Best Local Zine, beat out by the decades-long incumbent, Wig Wam Bam.
