"Sons & Daughters"
Sons & Daughters is a double bill evening of solo performance from Delisa Myles and Jay Ruby exploring ancestry and immigration.
"Wagon Tracks" from Delisa Myles and "Fayettenam" from Jay Ruby are each personal explorations of the genetics and circumstances that led to the individual lives of the performers and serve as a reflection of the cultural heritage we presently inhabit in the Americas.
In "Wagon Tracks" Delisa Myles examines her matrilineal mormon ancestry, its relationship to the oppressed feminine and the settlement of the west.
In Fayettenam Jay Ruby excavates the fractured mirror of the past to apprehend the roots of the neverending frontier....Early Settlement, Water & Blood, Ghosts in the Mountain, Johnny Appleseed, American Transience & Conscience.
The performances will start at 8:00 pm on Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th of April. There will be an intermission inbetween the presentations.
Audience capacity is limited to 30 per evening and reservations are necessary. Please make reservations. These shows will sell out. One can purchase and reserve tickets by purchasing tickets with cash or check at The Flying Nest in advance or buying tickets online at Brown Paper Tickets.
