Imagine the experience of a child in the year 1910 on Pasadenas famed Millionaires Row.
Young visitors with an accompanying adult are invited to step back in time through a special, immersive tour of the 1906 Fenyes Mansion. Experience the lifestyle of the Fenyes family including early 20th century dress, technology, manners, and play. Hear the music of a Victor Victrola, view early 3D images with a stereoscope, and learn about a candlestick telephone and an ice box. Participants can dress up in replica vintage clothing and try their skills at vintage games. Lemonade and cookies will be served following the tour, and each child will take home a copy of the book The Way Pasadena Was by Kathleen Thorne-Thompson, with pictures and stories of Pasadena one-hundred years ago (a $12.95 value). This PMH publication shares photos and stories about what Pasadena was like for children 100 years ago.
Growing Up on Millionaires Row interactive youth tours are recommended for ages 6-12 with an adult companion. Space is limited; advance reservations required.
