The 3rd event in our New Arrival Supper Club features popular lunch food from Syria.
You asked, we created! We are hosting our first family friendly event of the New Arrival Supper Club.
The 3rd event in our New Arrival Supper Club features the foods of Homs, Syria. We are bringing back chef Najwa from our debut Valentines dinner but this time she's preparing an extravagant family lunch!
Najwa and her husband moved to Los Angeles with their twin daughters, ages 6, and their baby who is almost 18 months, in June 2016. They left Homs, Syria in 2012 and spent four years in Jordan before being awarded resettlement in the US.
Najwa is a talented cook and will be offering delicious lunch fare in a family friendly environment.
Lunch will be 11am-1pm on Sunday April 2nd in a private residence in Atwater Village. We will have fun lawn games to keep the kids entertained and a DJ playing middle eastern tunes for a fun afternoon in the sun.
Your support of New Arrival Supper Club gives Najwa and her family the ability to share this most wonderful part of Syrian culture while giving them a meaningful and fun way to earn money.
We are offering kids aged 2-12 tickets at $25 and adult tickets in three levels: EAT, GIVE and LOVE.
EAT ($50) gets you delicious food, coffee and tea made by Najwa and her family! A portion of the ticket price goes towards the cost of supplies and food for the event, and 10% to Miry's List (www.miryslist.org). Everything else goes to Najwa and family.
GIVE ($75) gets you all the delicious food mentioned above, plus you'll be donating an additional $25 directly to Najwa and her family.
LOVE ($100) will get you the delicious food, plus you'll be donating an additional $50 directly to Najwa and her family.
**Waiver of Liability
This agreement releases Mirys List (miryslist.org), New Arrival Supper Club, Lemon Poppy Kitchen (Lemon Poppy Kitchen, LLC.), and the homeowners who are hosting the event from all liability relating to injuries that may occur at the New Arrival Supper Club event on April 2nd, 2017 at a private residence in Atwater Village, 90039 *address TBA**. By signing this agreement, I agree to hold Mirys List, New Arrival Supper Club, and the homeowners entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
I swear that I am participating voluntarily, and that all risks have been made clear to me.
By purchasing tickets, I forfeit all rights to bring a suit against Mirys List, New Arrival Supper Club, and the hosts of the event, or the individuals involved in for any reason. In return, I will participate in and be present for the New Arrival Supper Club event.
