Symphony Serenade Presents Birds of a Feather
Join the Symphony Serenade Crew as they explore the world of birds! Our musical focus will be how birds have been represented in music and your child will hear violin, flute, bassoon and trombone, as well as piano throughout the show. Our developmental focus will be on colors so expect to see and hear some very beautiful birds in a rainbow of hues!
Miss Allison and Chadd will transport you to a theatrical bird sanctuary full of the sounds, and sights and colors of birds. Michael is there- he is busy chaperoning some Jr. birdwatchers, and we will help them figure out which birds they've actually seen and heard as we sing our way through their list of favorites. And The Story Fairy will be stopping by- bringing a flock of beautiful birds for the story. BUT- wait a minute she's been caught in a hurricane. And has lost half her flock. And the story cannot go on without substitute birds. Good thing our beloved Pirate Trio have stopped by for help solving a problem they've been seeing red in an attempt to solve it and need our help. Hilarious antics always ensue when these three show up and pirates transformed into songbirds with Story Fairy magic will surely tickle our funny bones. A Big Production Number and a lullaby will finish up the show. Your child will get the opportunity to meet the characters.
Symphony Serenade shows are an active and engaging way to introduce children to live theatrical events-so bring your singing voices with you, we'll want to hear you crooning along with us, and be prepared to bounce and clap along to the steady beat, answer questions and use your hands and bodies to express musical concepts. Our goal is to entertain you while we educate about music and it's role in early childhood development. You'll have a blast and everyone will earn something, too!
