In Close Proximity
Tempos is excited to present "In Close Proximity" developed in collaboration with musicians Zack Borden and Sean Daly. Who is following who: dancers or musicians? What happens when the musicians follow the dancers one moment, then switch back to the traditional--dancers keeping time with the musicians. If you are going to break one tradition why not break more. What are the rules of personal space: loved ones touch and hold and support, enemies shove and strike and avoid, strangers bounce around in bubbles. What are the borders of personal space and how do we become tourists in our neighbor's country? Tempos explores these questions with partner acrobatics, aerial arts and dance--the essence of Contemporary Circus.
