Music at the BoatShop: Greg Blake Trio
Every other month or so, the Gig Harbor BoatShop is proud to present our MUSIC AT THE BOATSHOP concert series.
Help us welcome * the Greg Blake Trio * for the next show, Friday, April 7th @ 7pm!
Originally from West Virginia, Greg Blake is one of the true Appalachian stars of modern bluegrass. Last year, Greg's debut solo album, "Songs of Heart and Home," reached #10 on the Roots Music Report's "Best of 2016" Traditional Bluegrass Albums list. Now a resident of Colorado, Greg brings his voice and spectacular guitar playing to the nationally-known bluegrass band Jeff Scroggins & Colorado.
When he's not playing with that band, Greg showcases his mountain music with smaller ensembles. For this PNW tour, Greg will be joined by award-winning fiddler Ellie Hakanson and Isaac Callender for an unforgettable sound. Join us on April 7 for a fabulous evening as the trio performs original and bluegrass standards. All ages are welcome at this intimate concert held in the Joiner Shop at the Gig Harbor BoatShop.
Advance tickets are $20 for the public, or $15 for BoatShop members. All ages show, open seating. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. You can also order tickets in person at the shop or by calling (253) 857-9344. If seats are still available the day of the event, they will be sold at the door for $20 (members)/$25 (public) but past shows have typically sold out in advance. Don't wait!
Hope to see some familiar faces from concerts past and some new ones too at this special venue, the last public example of Gig Harbor's working waterfront and maritime heritage.
