de Porres Primavera
Dear Friends,
On Sunday, April 30th at 6:30 PM we return to Micheltorena Street for de Porres Primavera. The evening beginswith pisco sours and anticuchos de corazón (Peruvian-style grilled cow hearts). Solterito, the little bachelor, follows. Pablos take on this Andean salad will feature artichoke, Iranian saffron, fried quinoa, yogurt, fava beans, and watercress. Itll be paired an Italian Ribolla Gialla. If youve not yet tried this rare and charming grape, I suspect you fall for it just as we have. Stinging nettle and crab ravioli with an aji amarillo butter sauce is next, a German Pinot Gris will join it. For our main course weve chosen seco de cordero, lamb ribs braised in brown beer and cilantro, topped with salsa criolla, and served alongside yucca. Were pouring a Spanish Tempranillo with it. And for dessert: strawberry cobbler with homemade black walnut bourbon ice cream.
Tickets are $95.00 with wine pairings and $80.00 without.
