Songwriter Circle: Cal Scott and Richard Moore with guest Michael Sheridan
In 2005 Michael Sheridan moved from his native New York City to become a Portland firefighter and to make a little music. Since then he began writing for his own projects, Michael Meanwhile & National Flower, and has self recorded, produced and released four albums. His music has appeared on ABC (Brothers & Sisters, Notes From The Underbelly, What about Brian, Wildfire), FOX (Party Of Five), TNT (Saving Grace), WB (One Tree Hill, Jack & Bobby, Summerland), CW (The Beautiful Life), MTV (Real World, Date My Mom, Beyond The Break), the Motion Picture "Turning Thirty" and the upcoming "He's Such A Girl." He was also a winner of the Mountain Stage NewSong contest and his "Farewell Michael Meanwhile" album was named Performing Songwriter Magazine's "#1 Independent record of 2006."
Michael joins the usual suspects Cal Scott calscottmusic.com, jack-of-many-genres who writes and performs with The Trail Band and Kevin Burke, and the word-witty and tunewise Richard Moore mooredick.com, likely to share a few more scenes from "Rain," his musical-in-the-works about Portland. In addition to their more serious original tunes, Cal and Richard are likely to come up with a song inspired by audience title suggestions.
Tickets are $12 in advance from brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door. Seating is very limited. Best bet is early purchase of advance tickets.
