Private Reception with Amy Goodman!
KGNU is proud to co-sponsor the kickoff event of Amy Goodmans and DemocracyNow!s 2017 The Media Is Not The Enemy Tour. The event celebrates Democracy Now!s 21st year producing one of the countrys most popular daily TV/radio/internet news hours, as well as the publication of the paperback version of Amy Goodmans latest New York Times bestseller, Democracy Now!: 20 Years Covering the Movements Changing America.
She wrote the book with her brother, journalist David Goodman, and Democracy Now! colleague Denis Moynihan, a Denver resident, founder of KFFR 88.3 FM, community radio in Winter Park.
A $100 Ticket includes a reception with Amy, a copy of her paperback and preferred seating at the talk. The reception is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a talk by Amy from 7:30 to 9 p.m., both at Denvers historic Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, 721 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO., 80204. The cost of the ticket is tax-deductible. Proceeds will support KGNU and our friends and collaborators at the Colorado Independent, KFFR 88.3 FM, and Denver Open Media, three of Colorados other dynamic nonprofit media organizations.
