Confident and a bit arrogant, a less-than-studious college student's success with girls is countered by his embarrassing personal failure on the school rowing team, but with a little perseverance he eventually turns himself into a gridiron hero. Directed by Jack Conway, the film stars William Haines in his breakout role, Jack Pickford, Mary Brian, and John Wayne in an uncredited stint as a Yale football player.
