Urban Nut
"Urban Nut" is the story of an audience member who falls asleep at a performance of The Nutcracker and dreams about the story set in present day L.A. where they are the starring character, Clara. The events play out in bizarre and beautiful ways, with a motley crew of characters and an awesome contemporary soundtrack. The story ends and they are woken by the applause of the audience, left in their seat wondering what just happened.
To play the role of Clara, a member of the audience will be selected each night. This role is not gender specific, so gentlemen...do not be shy. Please submit your name if you are interested when you arrive at the performance.
Directed by Kate Hutter with choreography by LACDC company members.
