Icons and Idols Launch Party and Burlesque Show

Nerd Girl Burlesque is teaming up with Fake Geek Girls Like Us to help launch the latest Fake Geek Girls Zine, Icons and Idols! This zine explores the relationships of fans with their geeky icons through visual art and written works. Like all their publications, it aims to create a community space in which people who are made to feel unwelcome in geek culture because of their gender feel safe expressing themselves and sharing their artwork, thoughts and ideas.

To celebrate this publication, See-Scape will be showcasing some of the art on their walls, and Nerd Girl Burlesque, will be performing a show celebrating our heroes from geek culture. Pick up your copy of the zine and meet the artists behind it!

Nerd Girl Burlesque's Delicia Pastiche, Helen Tronna, Henrietta VIII, and Loretta Jean will be joined by some amazing guests, including:

Imogen Quest
Scarlett LaFlamme
and Dainty Smith

Hosted by geek girl Reddy.

Doors will open at 6:30 to give you time to view the wonderful gallery of works, with the show starting at 8.

Tickets $10, available online and at the door.
