Carole Dean President of From the Heart Productions
Carole Dean, author/producer The Art of Film Funding Second Edition & The Art of Manifesting: Creating your Future.  Executive Producer credits BAM 6.6, Women Behind the Camera, Step Away From the Stone, American Chain Gang, see IMDB for more.  Entrepreneur, created and ran Film business in Hollywood, NYC and Chicago for 33 years, sold it in 2001.  Created the Roy Dean Film grant in 1992 and have given over $2,000,000.00 in grants to independent filmmakers.  President of From the Heart Productions, 501C3 nonprofit.  Currently managing the Grant and the nonprofit and teaching film funding through From the HeartProductions.com

Margarita Sweet From the Heart Productions
Margarita Sweet is a writer and entrepreneur who loves the art and business of production. She believes without effective production a project idea remains just that a project idea. With this understanding, her creative vision and knowledge she plays a role in producing innovative projects. She believes in the power of the filmmaker to become more than a story teller; but, an entrepreneur. Along with being an active board member, she is creator and owner of Visit My Child and the Exhibits Manager for the Creative Talent Network Expo (CTNx) and serves as a founding board member of Chocolate Chix. She has worked on a variety of published works as a story consultant helping authors complete their works on time and on budget. Margarita believes the art of film and storytelling have the ability to create culture. It is this belief that inspires her to be an active part of From The Heart.


Michael Kuehnert  Director of Acquisitions and Sales for The Video Project

Michael is the Director of Acquisitions and Sales for The Video Project, a documentary distributor based in San Francisco.  He leads the teams efforts to acquire high quality environmental and social cause documentaries and administers impact campaigns that focus on funded outreach and engagement.   He is also responsible for direct U.S. Broadcast Sales and digital sales.


Katharine "Kat" Kramer founder "Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World"

Katharine "Kat" Kramer founded "Kat Kramer's Films That Change The World" to showcase motion pictures that raise awareness of important social issues. In doing so, she is following in the footsteps of her late father, the Legendary producer/director Stanley Kramer, who was known for taking artistic and financial chances by making movies about controversial subjects. Kat proudly serves on the Advisory Board of the prestigious LA Press Club and is also, the West Coast representative of the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.


Udy Epstein, Founder Seventh Art Releasing

Udy Epstein founded 7th Art Releasing in 1994 to produce and distribute specialized films. The company is noted for its releases of award-winning documentaries, such as the Academy Award® winner, The Long Way Home and the Academy Award® nominees: The Farm, Angola USA, Speaking in Strings, Long Night's Journey Into Day and Balseros, The Wildest Show in the South and Eyewitness. Production highlights include: The Breast Cancer Diaries, Call it Democracy and Word Wars.
