Bullitt
The Centralia Fox Theatre is proud to announce the next movie in the 2017 Fox Theatre Film Series, the 1968 Steve McQueen classic, Bullitt, presented by Kraken Design. A San Francisco police officer named Frank Bullitt (Steve McQueen) is to watch a witness, being hunted down by mafia boss hit men, so he can testify in 48 hours. Bullitt gives chase to the perpetrators all over the hills of San Francisco after they injure his witness and a fellow police officer. Still acclaimed as one of the best cinematic car chase scenes, for the mounted camera setups and realism, Bullitt is sure not to disappoint any car enthusiast. According to Director Peter Yates, Steve McQueen made a point to keep his head near the open car window during his famous chase scene so audiences would be reassured that it was he, not a stunt man, that was driving.
Admission for the movie is $10 per person ($8 for members) and $25 per family (three to four persons). Showtimes on Saturday, April 8, are 2 & 7 pm at the Fox Theatre in Historic Downtown Centralia, 123 South Tower Avenue. Season Passes are also available for the 2017 Film Series. Passes are $80 ($60 for members) and are good for all remaining movies in the series.
