Budgeting and Finance for Nonprofits
The operating budget is one of the most important documents a nonprofit can create and keep on hand. Its the main tool for ensuring your communitys needs are met not only today but well into the future.
This Nonprofit Assistance Center and Wayfind are proud to bring this Budgeting and Finances for Nonprofits workshop to South King County. This workshop is designed for anyone working for a nonprofit, or planning on creating a nonprofit, and would like to familiarize themselves with the budgeting process and basic nonprofit financial concepts.
In this 2-hour workshop, we will highlight the importance of developing and managing a budget and certain best practices for ensuring your nonprofit remains financially healthy for your community.
Topics will include:
An overview of the budgeting process, The type of budgets you may encounter, How to develop a program budget, How to properly use and manage restricted funds, Understanding and implementing basic financial controls, Avoiding conflicts of interest in business transactions, and Much more!
