Fundraiser for Feminism & Other Things
The Fundraiser for "Feminism & Other Things" will feature music by the indie band Blue Horse Blue and performances by Jessica Anne, Jamie Budzick and a sneak preview from the show. Special raffle and beer specials are included in the $10 admission price.
Opening April 1st, Femininity And Other Things is an all new original show examining issues of todays ladies through the lens of Drinking & Writing. Written and Performed by VS ensemble members Lady Grace Murphy and Amelia Bethel and directed by Drinking & Writing Theater co- founder Steve Mosqueda, Femininity... will literally place the patriarchy, sexual abuse and the pressure of planning a wedding on trial.
Using Chicagos rich history as a backdrop this 75 minute show also features the Everleigh sisters, owners of the historic Chicago brothel The Everleigh Club, along with personal stories and readings and quotes from well known lady drinker/writers. The show runs Saturdays at 4pm, Tuesdays at 7:30 thru April.
