Characters in Improv Comedy
This Saturday intensive will focus on creating comedy personas on the fly. The process uses movement, observation, vocalization and history to create honest and real comedic characters. Improv experience recommended by not essential.
Andrew Hopps is the artistic director of Staircase Improv. He is a principle in Hamilton's hottest improv troupe The Understudies. Andrew previously taught improv at Second City Toronto. He is a professional script writer and recently sold a screenplay. He knows how to laugh fluently in French and English.Story Telling Through Improv Comedy
Course Desciption:
Cost is $75. Contact info@staircase.org to sign up. Wear comfortable clothing. Lunch break is from noon to 1pm. Lunch is NOT provided. Class size is limited to 12 people. This course is part of the Staircase Improv Core Curriculum. Ages 16 and up.
