The Journey

AUDIENCE WANTED for creative journey, no wages, calm seas, an hour of your time, rooms of darkness, areas of light, constant enthusiasm, safe return hopeful, and applause-a-plenty for the girls success.. If you think you are up for the challenge, then please join uS.
This term the Prep school Drama and Music departments have taken a collaborative and cross curricular approach to learning in order to enrich the girls experiences during their lessons. There are many occasions when the girls can perform polished work to one another and to audiences but we believe it is equally important that they can share their practical explorations, if you like snippets of their greater learning, with you and the greater school community. We wanted to transform the Spring Concert; creative ideas bubbled up through our imaginations and The Journey began to take shape in our minds The rest, has been generated by the girls themselves as they have voyaged through their Spring Term topics, discovering the journeys made by Darwin, Shackleton, Marco Polo, and those who travelled through Ellis Island.
As crucial promenading audience members we need you to be actively involved in our project; using your maps, and your orienteering skills, you will travel through several performance spaces, in a clockwork motion to soar around the world with us starting and completing your adventure in the Auditorium. Remember, stick with your comrades, as team work is key. There will be some resting places along the way but please share these with others and find ways of helping one another to view the wondrous new sights around you.
