Emily Portman Drake

Emily Portman Drake will be performing live country music at the Mitchell Opera House on June 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Emilys love for music began at a very young age. She loved to sing along with the radio and had a passion and love for rock n roll and country music. She started playing the piano at age 12 in church and joined the marching band in high school. She began playing the guitar when she was nineteen years old. Emily has opened for some amazing country artists such as Doug Stone and T. Graham Brown. She has also had the opportunity to sing at the Grand ole Opry and at the Ryman with George Jones! She also played a part in a recent movie called Strawberry Wine that is based on the song by Deanna Carter. She played the wife of Bill Engvall and had a chance to sing some of her music in the movie. Emily loves and sings a lot of Loretta Lynn tributes along with other country music.
