Old Time Fiddling, Banjo and Guitar Workshop and Jam
Bruce Molsky bailed on college and big city life for a cold-water cabin in Virginia in the 1970s. His mission? To soak up his passion for authentic Appalachian mountain music at the feet of its legendary pioneers, learning from old masters who are now long gone. More than 40 years later he's ready to share some of those musical secrets with you. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to play with America's premier old-time fiddler, Bruce Molsky, as well as clawhammer banjo player Allison de Groot and guitarist Stash Wyslouch. Participants will be divided into small groups to learn some tunes, and then join back together to play as a group.
Instruments: fiddle, guitar, banjo
About the Artists: Bruce Molsky is one of Americas premier fiddling talents according to Mother Jones magazine, and a Grammy-nominated artist on fiddle, banjo, guitar and song.
